Analysis on advert

Language

The title of the game is named just dance, it doesn't have a particular logo. The background image of the front cover is very colourful and funky, it shows a silhouette of four characters dancing, the effect of having a colourful background is that it attracts costumers from both genders and most ages. It will be your first appeal in a supermarket if seen on the self, its eye catching, they also give a website on the advert which may be of interest to people who want to know more about the game, e.g prices and how to play.

Institution

The game was produced by Ubisoft and is available on multiple platforms. The original game was produced for Wii, a Nintendo brand. It was commercially successful as it sold over 3920000 copies world wide.

Audience

This particular game is designed for both genders, as it is targeted for families. Its influential on young kids as in the advert it shows how this game fills us with enjoyments and pleasure therefore the younger generation will have a quicker reflex towards having the urge to playing it. Its mainly targeted for families and friends as these groups are more likely to play it.

Representation

The game 'just dance' doesn't have a specific ethnicity it is aimed at, However the gender- i would argue- is slightly more towards females rather than males. Having said that many males do participate in the game but its just more of women's game. The media doesn't represent this game gender biased.
